If I get my hands on the same GNSS module as in the LoRa version, would it be possible to simply solder it on the PCB, or are there two different versions of the PCB?
There is only one version of the PCB. It is possible to solder the module onto the board by someone who is skilled at soldering. We certainly don’t recommend it as doing so risks damaging other components.
